first time build, not getting correct ram timing

i just put together my first build and everything went together without a hitch except my ram timing isnt correct heres the parts:

core 2 6400,
evga nforce 680i motherboard,
OCZ platinum 2gb DDR2 model #OCZ2P800R22GK
the timing for this ram is 4-4-4-12

however when i boot im getting 5-5-5-15. i havent messed with the bios yet or really any setting does anyone know how this happened and how i can fix it? im sorta new to this and this ram was expensive so any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Often timings, etc will get defaulted to something other than what the memory is specified for.

Just manually change the timings in your BIOS and you're good to go.
