Homophobe much? Side note - I don't think that the ad to introduce gay's to the world should be one for mayonaise... Just too much underlying...... UGH... I don't have a problem with the ad, I have more of a problem with people freaking out over it. It's not indecent, it just is... I am in no way endorsing homosexuality, I'm endorsing acceptance and common sense.
Compared to news papers, magazins and books, tv is a non particapation activity. Tv has us simply react with no activity of participation on our part. What i mean is when you read you are involved, you are active and have and active part since you are moving you eyes, head and hands to some extent and this has a major impact on your consciousness state. When you watch tv you are solely a receiver that can only react and have no participation with the exception of turning off the tv which you do not do as you've choosen to watch in the first place.
This may sound esoteric but it isn't. There is science behind the fact that when the body is involved with information gathering we tend to be more implicated and feel much less powerless towards the information presented.
