networking promblem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

i get this error "(my other computers name) is not accesible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.". what should i do? both are ntfs(i did have one fat32 and the other ntfs. it let me into the one that was fat32 from the ntfs one.) i changed them and now both are ntfs. i am thinking i should change both to fat32, but my buddy has a network that both computers are ntfs. ......they reconize eachother but doesnt let me access them. there in the same workgroup. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have file sharing turned ON?
Is it a folder other than "Shared Documents"?

Yes, NTSF is the prefered file system. Supports Large disk and long file names.

Make sure windows firewall or other firewall is not blocking your subnet.
This is where most of the problems lies.

Also check to see if you have the following services runing:

DNS Client
NetMeeting Remote Desktop
Network connections
Remote Access Connection
Remote Access Desktop
Remote Desktop help Session manager
Work station

Un check simple file sharing, too.
