I assume it was your previous tomshardware account who get deactivated notification when you tried to sign in. I also experienced this problem once.

first, make sure you type the right username and password..if it still doesn't work.. Try the "lost your password?" function from the sign in will send message to your email, which contain your username and reset password link.

Try if resetting your password resolve your problem. It resolved mine.
