Scythe Ninja and e6300

I've just built my new pc around the e6300. I have a coolermaster case with an 80mm intake fan and a 120mm exit fan. In addition, I got the Sythe Ninja cpu cooler than has another 120mm fan.

I'm getting idle temp of 45-48C. Are these high? Or is this what I should expect.

Also, how hot is too hot? I want to try some OC'ing but I don't know what the temperatures should be...

I get 29C to 30C idle with the stock cooler. What program are you using to monitor the temp?

yikes, maybe i should remount! I used the ASUS program that came with my mother board

try checkin the bios temps to see if it's consistent with the asus program. if it is then try some of this:
