Change PCI Card position...reinstall drivers?

Hi guys,

Questions is pretty clear. I will need to move a sound card and a PVR one PCI slot down each, does this mean I'm going to have to reinstall both drivers or will it not matter?

if you're using WindowsXP, it will go thru the steps of recognizing a new device and searching for the best drivers, and in that case since you already loaded the drivers it should find them and install. The reason it recognizes it as a new device is that by moving the card to another pci slot it changes the IRQ mapping. But as mentioned, it should automaitcally match the device with the already installed drivers.

You should not need to re-install drivers. It should be OK.
