Just a quick question:
What happens when you put to work a FCPGA Pentium3 (1.7V core) on a OPGA Mendocino Celeron socket delivering a mighty 2.0V vcore?
I just did it mistakenly today and the screen didn't show anything at all; Did the CPU burn up or what?

Nope, unless you have a incredibly subpar motherboard, the voltage regulator checked the CPU's voltage pins and decided it couldn't power the CPU, and disabled itself.

well, it was a PC-chips motherboard with SiS620 chipset. I know that most probably the CPU is OK, even because I have heared of vcores up to 2V during overclock of these CPUs.
