I have an iPAQ rx3115 with Windows Mobile 2003 SE. I use a 1GB SD card to
store files in bmp format. Find does not locate the bmp files. Is it
possible to get find to find?

Thanks,
Kirk

Does your copy of Find work on a memory card or just internal memory?
If it is just internal memory you need another/ a different file
explorer - you can confirm this by looking for any other filenames or
file types that are on the card, (or read where the dialog box is
searching). I use Resco File Explorer, that searches on a memory card.

Find will locate other files on the memory card but not ones with bmp
extensions. Nor will it find bmp files anywhere.
What do you think?

my ppc does not find jpgs and other file types I'd tried using the
inbuilt find function. As I said I use Resco Explorer to search for
file types or names, it searches using wildcards, for file types, in
internal memory and on storage too.

the ppc "find" function is limited to pim data and files located in the
My Documents folders

As others have mentioned, third party file find utilities are the only
reasonable option for locating files in a manner similar to the find
function in the PC file explorer
