Are you running an Aero desktop? If you are right click your desktop and click personalize and select a non Aero desktop.

Hi guys I was searching solution for the same issue Finally i found the solution for the problem

This is sure shot 100%. Works for Windows Xp*

So firstly Right click ---> Go to Properties ---> Click on Desktop ----> Customize Desktop (On the left side bottom)
----> on the top left end you see the Tabs a) General & b) Web ----> click on Web ---> If any of the web pages is checked, Uncheck it and click OK---> OK.

There you are.. Surprise your problem is solved
