I have a LG DVDROM/CD-R/RW
Question:
Can you play DVD's in Windows XP without third-party decoder such as PowerDVD
from Cyberlink?
Does Media Player 10 or whatever the latest version is have the ability to play
DVD's?
Thanks.

OK....found the answer... Media Player relies on an external hardware or software
decoder like PowerDVD.

There are free programs that offers DVD playback under Windows. I know VLC
Media Player (http://www.videolan.org) does, and I also heard that Media
Player Classic does.
