Well i'm building a new computer for gaming mostly and I can't decide which setup..

I'm getting a Gigabyte DS3 Motherboard & C2D E6400 CPU
With either:
1GB 800 mhz memory ($120), Radeon x1900GT ($150)
OR
2GB 800 mhz memory ($190), Geforce 7600GT ($80)

So which setup would be better for gaming, higher memory or better video card?

Well it depends...

Do you plan on upgrading to a DX10 card within one year? If not, then go ahead with the X1900GT and 1GB RAM... you can always drop in another GB for around $100.

If you are, then go with the 7600GT. That way, when you upgrade your graphics card, you'll have enough RAM to properly utilize it.

Both those vid cards will go out of style before you know it. But 2 gig RAM won't ;)

Since neither of those vid cards are considered "high end", then they should both do what you need for games. In which case, just get the 7600GT, it'll do just fine, and get the 2 gigs RAM. That will not only help your gaming and load times, etc, but it will also help your overall system. 2 gigs will be critical to any future upgrade to your system. Vid cards come and go, RAM won't.
