I recently bought an x850pro agp graphic card and unlocked the 12 pipelines to full 16. Now the problem is that my motherboard broke down so I have decided to go for a new motherboard + cpu. Can somebody please help me.

Limitations:
Agp Slot
DDR Ram
200$ budget

Any help would be appreciated.

After reading your post more carefully, I recommend you get socket 939 while you still can. There are still a few 939 boards that support agp, but no am2 that I know of. I just purchased a spare retail boxed 3200 with an old chaintech 1689 board. Total was $108 shipped, from newegg and 3b tech. I have 6 sticks of ddram and 3 agp cards.

How does the following three cpu's look to you:

setup 1:
amd opteron 144
msi k8n neo2

setup 2:
amd 3800++
msi k8n neo2

setup 3:
core2duo e6300
asrock 775

I would welcom any other setup suggestion specially ones using intel setups.

Any one of those combos would be sufficient with the Opty being the weakest link. If you can swing it, then the Asrock and the E6300 isn't a bad route to go but I'm not sure you can justify the cost. For the money the E6300 isn't going to make a huge difference in gaming compared to the 3800 and you can save a few bucks by going with the 3800.

Fry's still has the ecs board combo with e6300 about once every 2 or 3 weeks, if you live near one. Cheapest deal (with retail boxed heatsink) was $179.99.
