First of all my Motherboard is:

Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe

The Hard Drive is:

http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?pfp=cat3&product_code=338173&Pn=Caviar_SE16_250GB_Hard_Drive

So I plug in the Hard Drive, move the jumper in the Motherboard.

And it still doesn't recognize the HD on the Bios.

When I start up the PC, if I dont press anything

it will say what HD I have and give me the option to configure the Raid:

I go to this screen:

But, when I put my WindowsXP disc and boot up it says there are no Hard Drives installed.

Can someone help me? I've never installed a HD before, much less a Sata HD.

I haven't looked at the M/B you linked so I'm not sure what this jumper thing of which you speak may be. Let's start with the basics.

If you only have one HD you don't need to go to the RAID setup.

*Ass*uming you have an XP-SP2 disk or slipstream disk, just boot to XP and it should proceed as usual. (I've never had occation to try with a lesser XP disk. It *should* work so give it a shot if you need too.)

Hi, it seems the problem was hitting F6 while installing windows.
Already did that and managed to install windows.

Now the problem is the BIOS does not detect it, so I cannot make it primary startup in the Bios.
I have to have CDrom #1 and HD #2

And when I plug my 2nd HD which is EIDE it goes to hell cause it doesnt go to windows.
