I have a Dell E510 with these specs:

3.0 Ghz Pentium 4 w/HT
2.5 GB Ram = (2) 1gig chips and (2) 256chips
ATI 256MB X600 PCI Express <---- (What I'm going to upgrade cuz it sucks)
80 gig hard drive (Dell whatever)
470w power supply (I upgraded and looking for Graphic Card to go with it)

I'm thinking 1950Pro, but will buy anything up to the $350 dollar range. What card should I put with this? I don't care about DirectX10 and Vista at the moment, that will be my project for next year.

Right now, the prices for 1950 pro and X1950XT are very similar, so, I'd go for the X1950XT. But, for 400 bucks you could get 8800 GTS..., only 50 bucks more.... And, that would set you for a while...

yes the idea about the 8800gts if that price is great. it will be dx10 and its still a great card. other wise the x1950pro is good and has great price/performance.

I was looking at an article about the 8800 GTS card in a magazine. I have a few questions about it though. Is it available in PCI-Express? I have only seen a picture of the expensive 8800 and it looks huge. I have a midsize case and don't know if it will fit. Is 470 watts enough to power it also? I haven't researched it enough so maybe I'll do that.

as for the size of your case. i dont know , i think that its around 10inches i think. as for the power supple 470W is ok... but if you could get a larger one it would be better. and yes it is in PCI-Express. its only in PCI-Express.
If you have the cash for the all those extra's then you should be ok.
also what is your system specs?
