  1. looks fine.
  2. It looks good, but, if the Barracuda 7200.10 is only a few bucks more, I'd get that, it's got the 16M cache... All that money on the system, you could probably cough up a few more bucks...

    8O
  3. yeh but this was 1600 flat, i didnt wanna break it lol
  4. I'd recommend a better PSU. 550 with a GTX seems a little low, and while it might run it fine, I think a step up would be towards the better path.
  5. ... read please.
  6. Even if it's GTS, you'll probably need to change psu should the need arise (more HD/DVD or even GTX/SLI/R600)

Just wanna ask, why you have both CD and DVD writer? Your DVD writer couldn't write to CD-R :?:

Oh, excuse me for making such a huge mistake there.

Cuz' i dun wanna read CDs or burn CDs on a DVD-RW

EDIT : I found some plance where they sell items cheaper and came out witha much better rig.

    Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4 GHz $370
    Asus P5B Socket 775 MOBO $144
    OCZ XTC DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz $200*
    eVGA 8800GTS $490
    Antec P180 Silver CASE $144
    Zalman ZM600-HP 600W PSU $133
    Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 250GB SATA $73
    Samsung SH-S182D DVD-RW BLACK $35
    LG (GCE-8525B) 52X32X52X CD-RW BLACK $24
    $1613

Changed the PSU to Zalman ZM600-HP 600W PSU.
As you might know already, this PSU is modular and is 100% same as 700W OCZ GameXtreme. But labeled as 600W :p
  9. Seagate 7200.10

    And yes, I can read.

But your stubbornness to stick to some line drawn in the sand of $1600 is actually costing you more in the long run.......spending $20 on the total system cost is nothing......and yet it will make such a difference.

So, the next time you sit there and complain about the hard drive access times cuz of your lag and loading BF2142 or whatever, ask yourself: is all that moaning and time worth $20?

    Answer: YOU BET.

Do yourself a favor, get the 7200.10.

OH, and you dun wanna burn CDs on DVD-RW??!!?? Would that also mean you dun wanna use a keyboard to type, or a monitor to see? Dude, live in the now.

But before you give a smartarse answer, it's your money. But don't ask for advice if you're just gonna argue the responses or be disrespectful. Otherwise, go to Future Shop and pay double the cost.
  10. Once again... just read...

when I said Read please I didnt say it to you, I said it to the other guy.

    I have a 37gb raptor.. I dont need 7200.10

    and..

Im buying two opt drives because I can copy CDs to an other and as well,
    CD-RWs can read/burn CDs faster than DVD-rw's

Just cuz i only want to burn CDs on a CD-RW, that means I dont want to type witha keyboard or see with a monitor?

    ....

  13. Why don't you get a combo drive rather than a CD-RW? They burn just as fast and have DVD-Rom.
