Internet explorer troubleshooting windows 7 wont connect at first need to refres

This is nothing huge but it just bothers me enough to have this problem fixed. I run a windows 7 64 bit and I have internet explorer. This problem began when we got Comcast cable high speed internet installed. I have a Motorola surfboard dual modem and wireless router. So to the point, when I click on my internet explorer icon and it pulls up the ip addresses for Google and yahoo more often than not it says it cannot connect I have to refresh the page a bunch of times before I get the page. I have gone through all the troubleshooting and can not seem to find a solution does any one know how to solve this debacle?
