I have an old Ipaq, and am having trouble getting the wireless going. I
insert the belkin adapter, and the lights turn on, then about 10 seconds
later, they go off... I have followed the instructions at
http://www.cewindows.net/faqs/wl100driver.htm but can't seem to get it
to click. I have tried the Compaq driver, the linksys driver and still
no luck...(haven't been able to find a belkin driver for ce yet...)

any ideas?

Is this a version 3 card? If so, the Belkin site states this uses the CardBus architecture. That
makes the card incompatible with any PocketPC...

Sorry, it is a v2 card... specifically why I picked it up... Already
fired through a linksys cardbus w-nic that didn't work at all and lead
me to that site...

What version of windows is on the 3850? Hp basically stop supporting their
old cards with the Windows Mobile 2003 version, so the drivers will not
work.

3.0.11171 build 11178 and the firmware was upgraded to 3.20

and easier..

On a 3835 with the linksys ver 2 wireless card via pcmica sleeve I had it
would connect, then drop repeatedly. The fix was actually a firmware update
for the router, which at the time was a wireless b version. The version 1
card had no problems, so I assumed it was a packet optimization that didn't
work well with the router without the update. There could be a similiar
issue with your belkin card.

So, if you have not checked it out already verify the router firmware
version.

IIRC I used the wl100 driver.

Good Luck

You know.. .I remember reading about that somewhere... I'll look into it.

I am a little concerned about the card though, cause on a laptop, it
works fine(both lights working) and on the ipaq, they turn on for 5
seconds, then turn back off...

but I'll still check the router.
