Keep in mind that the FX-74 gets spanked by Core 2 Quad. All of these $3000 Quad FX setups use a processor that is two steps down and 400 mhz slower, the FX-70.

So if you thought a Core 2 Quad made the FX-74 beg for mercy, the FX-70 is only worse.

Sad thing is you can build a Core 2 Quad system for way lower than $3000 with 2 gigs and an 8800.

Opps, thanks, forgot there was a difference. Yes, the point is well made by both me and others. Core 2 Quad is WAY MORE POWERFUL than an FX-70 system and yet manages to be much cheaper.

And to those who argue that companies that build systems are more expensive don't forget:

- They get better pricing than we do on parts (Which is pretty much more than offset by labor costs)
- You can't get the parts to make an FX-70 series system, so your only choice is to buy from someone else.

Considering what comes with it that not bad considering that only $3-400 more than I spent for a 2GB 4400+ with 7800GT last year.

yeah they should just pack itin like Intel shoudl ahve for the 3+ years of NetBurst or like nVidia should have done when ATi overtook them or like ATi should have done when nVidia overtook them.
