Can anyone recommend some good software that will :

Switch between video inputs, webcam(s) on USB), Tv card with video inputs
etc.
Motion detection (with definable areas)
FTP upload jpegs etc on motion detection
e-mail jpegs etc on motion detection
record video on detection
stay switched to the source that had motion to record until the motion stops

I've been using Active webcam v5 but it's too buggy and hogs PC resources if
switching between sources enabled.

Thanks

You can't do physical switching between USB cams. The IONetworks
Watchport (formally 3COM Homeconnect) USB cam is capable of
having up to 10 of them connected to one computer. USB cams are
usually not used for security as they are made to be with in 15'
of the computer (you can use $$$ extensions). I like the Winnov
AV PCI capture cards available on Ebay.

No mention of Trackercam, I use this and it has LOTS of features, it's meant
to be used with trackerpods or powerpods but the software works if you have
neither of these and is free.
