Petpet Lab Map

Does anybody else think this is a bad idea?

My reasoning for this is because petpets are removable, surely people can
buy a petpet, zap it then sell it at profit. So this is seriously going to
devalue petpets of rarirty. Just think if the petpet one works like the
normal lab you would be able to have a Moltenore of which there are only a
few around at the moment. Also the prices of petpet paintbrushes will fall
rapidly. I just think either Neopets should bring in the inability to remove
a petpet once zapped or other rules to stop all this from happening.

Am I thinking right? :p

from the neopian times editorial:

If you zap a petpet in to, say, jelly, with the petpet lab map, will it stay
jelly even after being removed from the pet, or will it return to how it was
before you zapped it? - flippinfrog250
If a Petpet has been zapped by the Lab Ray, and you decide to remove it, it
will revert to its original form. This is to prevent people from making a
bajillion Neopoints by zapping Mallards into Moltenores.

snip all the reasons

Nope. If you take it off it reverts to the old form so they have thought of
those objections already.

well, it is the same now, isn't it? if I go to my pet's lookup, and
click on the petpet, it says that when it is removed it will go back to
level 1.

No not really. There is way more money to be made in good petpets and petpet
brushes if you can't.

Thankyou very much Jessie, this is information I hadn't come across :)
