Has anyone here seen a review on 2 RADEON X1650 XT in CrossFire yet? Or does anyone have that setup here? The main thing I would like to know is how well it preforms with Oblivion? Do you get a good bit more FPS in crossfire or not. I have an x800xl agp right now. I am looking at geting at least one 1650xt because of the price and I found one that has no fan so No Noise! :) HIS Radeon X1650XT

I am wanting to upgrade my coputer to a PCI Express Motherboard from the one I have now a Gigabyte NF3 with AGP. Is this board a good OCer? I would like to keep my Opty 165@2.4Ghz so I need to get to a 267mhz FSB.
DFI LanParty Socket 939 ATI Radeon Xpress 200 CrossFire

I am trying to keep the cost down and don't want to spend to much but would like to get a little more FPS in Oblivion. I will ebay my old parts so that will help me some.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I wouldn't bother with CFing these cards. Benchies I've seen show that one higher classed card performs better then two lower cards. I wouldn't get a x1650xt, but a x1900/x1950xt. Should provide higher frame rates, with less heat/power use.

A single X1950 XT will perform better than two X1650's in crossfire for less money. Hell, a single X1950 PRO would probably give two X1650's a challenge.

Don't bother with crossfire unless you can afford the best cards and are looking for the ultimate performance.

I want to spend as little money as possible but have FPS in Oblivion about the same I am getting now. I was planing on buying one card now and another one later if need be. A X1650xt Crossfired does better than one x1950pro in some games but I don't know if it will scale the same in Oblivion. See link. x1650xt Crossfired

The other thing is that I can't stand the Blowdryers they put on the video cards. I hate the Noise. I am trying to keep noise and money down. That is the other reason I picked the x1650xt with no fan. I don't know if my VGA water block will work very well with some of the newer cards. Then I would have to buy new ram sinks also.

Get an 8800

I would love to but then I would have to get a new case for my computer. I would then need a new water block. The Loudest thing in my computer is the PSU. It is an Emermax Liberty and if it is going to be louder than that it will drive me to drinking.

I would be looking at $400 to $500 for an 8800gts. Followed by about $100 for a new case that has room for that baby. Maybe about $50 to $60 Dollars for the new VGA Block. All that would put me at about $600 to $700 Bucks. I am Trying to stay around $200 to $300 bucks at most by the time I ebay my old stuff but would rather be closer to $200.
