hi! I have a 8GB usb drive. recently all the files in it where corrupted. the disk now report that it is 1Terabyte in size. I can not reformat it. does any one knows how to fix this? thank you

I guess you are not interested in recovering the files.
Can you delete the partition and then reformat it?
There is a chance that the USB drive is bad and unrecoverable.
USB drives do go bad.

i lost hope in recovering the files. they all turn 0's. I have already formated it and it just failed. I try to format it as ex2,ex3, fat32, fat32 LBA, NTFS and others using Gparted. i tried to recover my files using testdisk and no luck. now I want to know if there are ways that I can do to fix this mess and forgetting all the data in there.
I just bought this drive a week ago in China for something like 17USD.

sell it on ebay, with a screenshot, where windows is telling 1TB,
you could catch a lot of money.

now seriously,
use disk management to delete partition,
repartition, and format.
