The X1950 XT because it is much, much faster.

Why? Better architecture and faster clockspeeds. The 7950 GT has 24 pixel shaders, the X1950 has 48 pixel shaders... the 7950 GT has 1400 mhz memory, the X1950 XT has 1800 Mhz memory...

Also better image quality with the X1950 XT, but that's a side issue. In the final analysis, the X1950 XT will provide a much better gaming experience than a 7950 GT.

Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't checked the prices lately. Even so, there are plenty of 7950GT's who are pricer than the Sapphire X1950XT. And there are 7950GTs are who cheaper. The prices do overlap, but the performance does not.

In addition to Cleeve's points, remember that unlike the 7950's, the 1950's won't raise temperatures inside your case, because they have a dual slot rear exaust cooling solution.

Hope this helps. :D
