I started using a Coolermaster Typhoon VX yesterday. Since installing it the readings from Core Temp are 2C warmer on Core#0. With my previous heatsink they both idled at the same temperature... Even when I lower my clock speed it is showing at 2c warmer. (Example: I've clocked down to 3.2 and my idle temps are core#0:27C and core#1:25C.)
Given the fact that the load temps and idle temps are so low, I'm doubting it is a issue with the cooler mount. I guess it is possible that I didn't get a good application of my artic silver.
Is this normal, or should I try a new application of the thermal compound?
