intel socket 423 and 478

i have a simple question but i cant seem to find the answer, maybe because its a question of rather old hardware
my question is, does a cooler for 478 socket, works or fits on a 423 socket base mother?
ive got and old 423 base pc and cant seem to find 423 socket cooler

It really depends on the cooler. Most will say what sockets they support. You might have to do a search for socket 423 coolers through google or something.
