Given that I am currently streaming HD content off of a Dual 1.266Ghz PIII based HP DL380G2 that really isn't anything special.
Oh yea - funny it should mention being a "desired rig" for post-production...in a meeting with our post-prod guys a couple of days ago - specifically to discuss new machines and new hardware this "desired rig" (meaing QuadSUX in general) came up in the conversation and was quickly dimissed, by them, not by me, tho I certainly didn't argue the point..

And this rates it's own thread because?
So he can have more people bash him and/or his favorite company maybe? Who knows. Maybe he needs the abuse to validate himself in someway.
I figured you guys would enjoy ridiculing a company who had the gall to sell them and then even show them off at an International Trade Show. So, in essence, you're trying to start a flame/bash thread?
I have many actual monetary and emotional links to Intel, but I still ran Athlons in my PC's for years. AMD had a great part. They had a great run. The underdog beat Goliath at his own game. Huzzah.
Now that time is over. If you really do develop code, then the advantages of going with the industry leader should be obvious.
On a side note, did you guys know that this forum is one of the main places that AMD and Intel study to judge product acceptance? Oftentimes quotes are lifted straight from the forums for our larger presentations. It's good that they're positive again

Cmon now, youve been around long enough to know the answer to that.
AMD is the light that guideth: The force of wholesome pure goodness that only wants to bring low cost performance to all the deserving children of the world while saving us from the soul stealing schemes of the Evil Empire that is Intel. All with no consideration of profit.
Its not a joke. There are guys who actually believe that crap.

I just posted a story. I have posted positive Intel stories. I can post anything I want about CPUs.

No, we just enjoy ridiculing you ....
Except that that isn't possible. I see from the 65nm post you're now back to saying AMD is not using the pitch of the transistor size, but getting power down by using larger spacing.

Seriously, I'm on of the biggest Tualatin fans around. I covet your system...so much. I would drop two 1.4Ghz PIIIs in there and let my mouth water. It's one of my...things.
