I am using Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 installed.

From last 2 days this System is giving the Error as "A duplicate name has
been detected on the TCP network. The IP address of the node that sent the
message is in the data. Use nbtstat -n in a command window to see which name
is in the Conflict state. ".

I checked all the options mentioned in microsoft support website and also
those support I could find from google, but the problem still persists.

I do not see any duplicate name in WINS database. Moreover, I rebooted the
WINS server as well. The WINS server is in NT4.0 and it does not record any
duplicate name event".

The strange thing is everytime the System's Event log point to New IP
address for Conflict. When I check those systems I do not see any conflict in
names.

Please let me know path forward.

Thanks,
Anand
