RAID WINDOWS 7-64BIT ASUS M4A78-EM

Just bought Asus M4A78-EM AMD780 with AMD Phenom X4 9750
I am using TSD 500AAKS Western Digital Caviar 500GB and a WD2500JB IDE
Ultra 2048DD2 8Gb Memory and Cyberlink Optical Drive
Am unable to creat a RAID with the Optical Drive in slot 1 and the WD500GB in slot 2
sometimes the machine fines the disk drive, sometimes it does not, it never fines the WD500GB.
I was able to install windows7-64 on the IDE disk but the program does not boot - did not restart when it finished installing.
Anybody has an idea?
The latest problem I am getting the message Secondary Master ATAPI incompatible.... Going crazy with this, so far as i know the disk drive worked perfectly until now.
Where can the problem reside????

I suggest you read the RAID FAQ. Most likely you're trying to set up a RAID array with the onboard mobo controller, am I right?

Where can the problem reside????

Hint. I have the same MB with the manual it came with.
