Serious troubels with new setup, looking for advice!!

I just purchased a Biostar Tforce6100 along with an amd 64 4000+ with a Zalman CPU cooler. When I turn the machine on everything is powered, but I do not get any sounds from the Mobo and the monitor stays in sleep mode. I have reset the CPU to no avail.

How to I found out where the problem is?

All advice will be much appreciated

Start up by using the basics. CPU, one stick of RAM, one hard drive, one CD/DVD drive, and video card.

Make sure you connected everything firmly.

Lastly, I hope you didn't assemble this on carpet as I'm sure someone will point that out, even though, the last 3 computers I built, I was standing on carpet and never had a problem :tongue:

I assembled it at my desk while sitting down. I have built a few PCs in the same manner and never had a problem. I just reapplied new thermal grease and put the system back together with no changes. The Mobo has a light that now lights up blue-it do not light up the first time around-.
