hi all,
anyone got any ideas how to cure the prob below. It happens when i right click a folder or icon (eg. to delete, or copy or explore). Right click is fine if used on desktop, or copy and paste text.
At the time this started, i was useing Vista Ultimate so banged in an upgrade to Win 7 to see if it would cure it. Nope. Tried all the recommended scans, (malwarebytes, superspyware etc). My thinking is its something to do with the content menu opening, but im hanged if i can find a cure.
thanks
nigel

This may not help you or you may not agree with this, but in a situation like this, the best solution is to back up all your data, and perform a format and then a fresh new install. I use to be plagued by problems such as this and spent days and nights to resolve.
If you were experiencing issues in Vista and then upgraded to Windows 7, 9/10 the error would follow the upgrade, but understand this is only my opinion.

I wish you luck.

A kernel error usually is caused by some hardware fault. Does memtest86+ run overnight without issues? Is Prime95 stable after running for several hours?

Do you receive any BSOD? if so I may need u use some debugging tools to get a better diagnosis.
