Hello,
I tried to search to see if this has been posted already but had no luck. Anyways I just installed vista on my roomates computer and he has a 9600 xt, 2.8ghz p4 and 1gb of ram. The OS installed just fine, but he is getting a a score of 1.0 for graphics and gaming graphics in Performance Information and no Aero Glass. He has installed the ATI beta drivers and we did a retest and still no change in score. It also not performing up to par, I forced Aero Glass to run and it bogged right down, I dont believe that this card should be running this poorly. Also running really choppy in games. Anyone having a similar issue or have any idea the cause of this issue?

Thanks in advance

Well it is only a 9600XT and vista is a performance hog so that may be all your going to get from it.

He has a point while the 9600XT is an OK, dont expect it good for Vista or heavy games its 3-4 years old I suggest u look into a 7600GT AGP or 7300GT AGP maybe even a 1600PRO AGP snice there only 100$ and will run vista.

While not the best card, its only 100$ and will run Vista and games quite good.
