so ive got all my parts in the mobo now i dont know where the heck the plugs from the case go. is the Power SW the same as the powr lED? i cant seem to find where the Power switch goes, the reset switch goes, the USB plugs, GDN?( what the heck is GND). ive got the GA 956P S3.

as mr. family said study your mobo manual very close.

if you cross one of the front panel connects wrong.

it is possible you will get no post.

all of the information is in the manual but typically there are 5 connections for the front panel.

power switch
power reset
power led
hdd led
speaker

and gdn? or gnd? gnd is for ground

Page 23 of the manual shows all the proper connections. the connectors from the mother board are usually labelled with short names like "pw" for power, "spkr" for speaker... etc. They should be easy to figure out.

PS I'm assuming that the board you have is the G965P S3..

Try checking your motherboard's manuel.
