Dear Pros,

I have just purchased a 200WB7 wide screen LCD mon to replace my old mon today.

But, now I am not used to the wide sceen feel and would like to set it to normal old looking style which is not wide screen.

How do I change the setting? I have tried to change the setting in the display status, but nothing work....

Could anyone help me on this?

Speechless thanks

But, I have seen some people who are able to change it back to 4:3 ..

And... it is not really 4:3, but leave the 2 sides of the mon in black..

Can I do it also?

When I play game, I want 4:3 and when I use excel and watch wide screen movie, I want it back to 16:9.

Can I do that?

if you go into the CCC under diplay panel attributes and select centred timings. also check you monitors own options through the OSD. some will have fill panel or maintain aspect ration or even 1:1 pixel scaling. select anything other than full panel and in games or other apps which use a different res it will leave the black bars.

tbh i have no idea what you are on about and am close to calling you an idiot as what is really different about a widescreen? it is more natural for the eyes for one.

The monitor should have some options to keep the resolution ratio instead of a 16:10 ratio. I really like using the "scale to resolution" feature on my Dell 20" widescreen. It keeps 4:3 games 4:3 (old games and The Battle for Middle-Earth - f*cking EA, no widescreen support? I hate you) and new games at a nice 16:10.

Not quite clear on what you asking about. Do you want to change/restrict your Windows desktop to a 4:3 aspect ratio on your 20" widescreen?

If so, then I have to ask WHY?? What is it about the 16:10 desktop that you dislike?
