Hi all -

I recently did an upgrade from NT 4.0 to Windows 2000 using the upgrade
option from the 2000 cd. All the drivers and things seems to have registered
properly. The problem now is copying files off and onto the server. We now
have a 2000 server 2000 client workstation. Connecting to the server shares
take a bit of time as well. Copy an 50 to 60 meg file takes like 30 to 45
mins. The CPU and memory usage on the server are reporting fairly low so it
doesn't seem like the server is too busy to process the request. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Explain your DNS set up.
Do you have a DNS server to service your AD domain?
What DNS server does the DC point to?
What DNS server does the workstation point to?

Since this was NT hardware you may be under powered for W2K. How much ram
and what processor? Checked that you don't need a hd driver/ nic update?
