Use the 06 version for better comparison.

That and actually give us the before and after, not just the before.

You could be at the limits of your PSU. If the G80 doesnt get enough power it throttles itself back to remain stable.

Still, the base score seems ok so you cant be far off on power.

:o, thanks man, so 485w is not enough i guess

Reply to vince251

I said "could", I didn't know what sort of PSU you had :P

A decent brand 485W PSU should be ok, I'd think.

As others asked, how much did the scores change from the default speeds? (500/800 on the GTS right?)

3Dmark05 will be pretty CPU limited on a G80, you should try 06 as prozac suggested.

I'm thinking that if he managed that kind of OC, then he must have enough power to the card. Man if mpilchfamily saw that he was using a 485W psu on an 8800gts regardless or amperage, he'd probably have a heart attack.

LOL

Well actually, I read today that a C2D system can run comfortably with one GTX with a 470-500W PSU as long as the amperage on that PSU's rail(s) are more than ~30 and you dont have too many peripherals.
Please list full system specs and a detailed PSU explanation or at least give us the name of the PSU.

I'll go bring out the handcuffs.

You have a choice, cold metal ones or nice pink fluffy ones?

Thought that might be the answer :D:D

Sort of a disbelieving look swiftly followed by a dirty smirk?

Just a thought, could the 8800gts have maxed out an E6400 @ 3.6? Or maybe there's just something f..ed up with the card.

Verry nice clocks!
I also would like to see 3dMark 06 before and after.

Mabey you should try ATI tools?
nTune gives me nothing but trouble.

Well they go to all this trouble to fix their system then it seems as though they stop caring about whatever they were doing with their computer and go on to live happy lives computer free or something. But thats just what I think. :o
