I have a benq dvd burner dw1620 version.
When i try to play dvd games i get an error saying its not the original disc.
It gives me a link to this website and I follow the instructions on the page.
www.securom.com/message.asp?m=copy&c=1000 I still get the error after I follow these directions.
Do I need to buy a new drive?
Try flashing the firmware on the DVD drive first, then reboot, then try re-installing the SecuROM patch again (and reboot a 2nd time).
If this fails, then yeah, lean towards replacing the DVD drive with another unit - as not all drives support all forms of copy protection as implemented on some discs.
