Of course UFO's are real. Anything flying, that you can't identify, is a UFO.

Or Riley Martin on Sirius Stern 101? He claims to have lived with aliens and reproduced with them.

Never heard of it.

You know, the fact that so much stuff floating around are hoaxes or looney cases that it makes it very easy for the real stuff to go by unnoticed.

Seems far too "holywood" to me.

Oh believe me, he's not Hollywood. He's usually drunk and pee's into a jug while on air. Tues @midnight est. Sign up for a free trial at Sirius.com and check him out. Select talk, Howard Stern, Channel 101. It streams online.

UFOs are real in the most purist of the words form, like King explained.

The Alien factor is where you see copious amounts of weed/mind altering substance usage by, ironically enough, not the brightest tool in the shed person. He then starts seeing things that aren't really there, but seeing that it's on a farm (more ironically - the secluded place) he then has the "capability" to convince like minded idiots and thanks to the low standard of media, it's spread all across the globe.

Once again, the issue is that even with media being of low standards, the spread thereof depends on the susceptibility of the individual whom is receiving it. Luckily, they aren't as many as one might think.

One should also not confuse the once in a blue moon acid/mushroom taker. They do see things that aren't there, BUT they tend to recover and then move on with life. This is where I'll slip in the hippy hypothesis - they take some drugs but due to some glitch in the chemical side of their brains that drug actually triggers irreversable notions around equality and peace. To counter the possibility of some hippy stating that he/she/it don't use drugs - hippynism tends to carry over from genetics.

drugs are a catalist to awareness and if you aren't prepared for what will come up in your 'heightened' awareness than you will get in trouble........it may indeed be the stairway too heaven but what happens if you go down that stairway............................

Fcuk the stairway. When you are on drugs, then it's an escalator ALL the way and there's no reverse... Times have changed since that Led Zep song whom the rest of the world [mistakenly] took up as their only good song.

Really? They had other songs???

I'm not aware of any Zep fan that likes only Stairway.

Actually, I'm not even aware of anyone that only knows Stairway...

If I had to pick (which I don't), I think my two favorites are "Bring it on Home" and....
(Checks Wikipedia as Bohemian Rhapsody is on and I can't think)
How Many More Times...

Good times...

Come on then Pike, your starter for ten. What was Hotel California about?

you know, for songs that are a little spaced out or spaced in if you like, i beleive everyone may have their own interpretation and what the writter mean with the song becomes really less important

To me Hotel california is an exploration into an altered awareness of things...a seperate reality you may say and for me to tell what the story of this song means to me is a little personal... i rahter keep that to myself for now if you don't mind

Reply to pike

That's fine, no-one really cares what you think anyway [/cold]

Reply to WingDing

Hotel Cali is just a weak attempt to get surreal.

It reminds me of a kind of high-school trip into Dali-land. A bunch of singers trying to be artistic and writing it after a long ride on DisneyLands "Haunted Mansion" ride.

As for Zep, there are many that are better. Most of which they ripped off of classic blues, but still did a good job on.

grammar is one thing but putting words together to have them make some kind of intelligent statement is another

please reword that sentence, but just in case i'll simply repeat what i've said before that english is NOT my first language...it is however my mother tongue but that's something else

my interpretation was about a spiritual quest which is close enough

Pike.

I made an analogy.

It was also an insult, comparing your posts to car accidents that people stop to look at on the highway. The grammar is just the tip of the iceberg.

When you try to post something that other people do not believe in (existential theorems, thoughts on life, time, existance) and then have a problem with expressing it, it is a car wreck. Sometimes it is a "train wreck" meaning that the cargo is lost because something got on the track and disrupted everything.

the "something leaking out the drivers side door" implies a dead driver. That has multiple meanings impling that teh driver of teh thread is dead or "damaged" and that we have a morbid fascination with this.

So even though Wing may be insulting you (as par for the course on this board) his declaration of lack of interest is not enough of a reason for him to stop posting.

He says he is not interested, but I think it is more accurate to say he does not care.

Now that that dead horse has been pounded into Taco Bell "beefy" burritos I think I have had enough....

Actually, and I say this with all do respect, the dude from the Eagles who wrote the music for it (and has since been kicked out - over $) said Don wrote the lyrics to it as they were driving one night from Las Vegas back to L.A. Some also hypothesis it's about a whorehouse. But alas, it's about a seemingly inescapable long nighttime drive through the desert with lights in the distance that never seem to get closer.

He was on Stern a month or so ago.
