Attention! All wi-fi Experts

My Office internet connection comes to my desktop pc through a 8 port hub which connected to a CISCO1600 router. I am accessing the net through a proxy which is set in my internet explorer. I do have a lap top which is wi-fi and can i make this internet connection wi-fi by putting a Access Point in the hub so i can use my laptop too for browsing. Please advise me wht are the things i need to buy

Few more details about my comp setting

IP address 192.168.51.69
Subnet 255.255.255.0

Proxy setting 192.168.1.70:3128

Is by defauly i can use my Access point or i have to Confiure?

Yes... as long as the correct settings are attached it will be like hooking up another computer to the network. Just need a address for it.

All you need to buy is the wireless access point I have a linkSys at the moment and it works fine. you can just configure the access point with a name and password (if there is no password anyone from the outside can connect to your network) your laptop should have the right software so all you need to do is detect the wireless network and input the password.
