Hello everyone, here i got a question about home networking.
First i have 2 computers, one running on windows xp pro and another on windows xp home. I wanted to connect both to the internet as i have an ADSL internet connection. As the ADSL need to dial in and varify password and only allows one pc connect a time i bought a hub/switch.
- Here is the problem. I try to put them together on the switch and try to log on the internet by many way and it will never allow me to connect both computer. I try many ways like the home and office wizard or the internet connection properties wizard. Out of 2 times i connect, there is only once i success connect both computer to the internet. But i dint know what is the setting therefore i cannot do what i did to allow the both to connect to internet again.
note* both computers can see each others in workgroup computer and filesharing is working.

- please Help me and teach me how to setup the both computer to enable all of them can connect to the internet.

Thanks in advance to all those who helps.

You can use ICS in winxp or you can buy a router. that will solve your issue. If you use ICS you will need 2 network cards in one of the computers.

Very thanks for the reply. I am not sure i found some software which says it can help to dirrect pc to network switch. Is it really useful as a software is really cheaper then a hardware change. Please let me know. Thanks. well the software is winproxy 6. thanks.

ICS will take care of that too. May be cheaper then a third party.

Good luck with your efforts.
