I want to setup a wireless access point in our office. It will just be for the users in the office to connet to the local network. Our office dimensions are about 196 x 114 ft. At the moment the wireless access that we have does not cover the whole office space. Could anyone give me options that would cover my whole office that will be reliable? Any input will be appreciated.

I have a DLink 2100AP. that would cover your whole office withought any issues. I get range about 300 feet away, Outside no less.

Thanks for the info I had a look online and got the following info 802.11b/g Indoor Range 330 ft.
802.11b/g Outdoor Range 1310 ft.

That will do fine for my setup here :)

Advertised distances on the wireless gear is good for a laugh. That's about all it's good for.

Nobody here can tell you with ANY degree of certainty that this/that or the other will provide excellent coverage in an environment they have not done a site survey on. It's ludicrous actually but born of innocent ignorance more often than not. All wireless environments are different. Makeup of the obstruction, angles, even something as innocuous as the relative humidity. Test and see. That's how you tell if something will work for you when wireless coverage is the subject. Now, you can get anecdotal advice that is relevant and can be helpful. ex "I have tried 4 different wireless routers/AP at my current house with steel rebar in the walls and the best for me was X...." If someone say X will work for you without question well, you can pretty much disregard those sorts of comments. They're worthless.

The USR5453 AP will fit your needs. It has the capability of a dual SSID. One for inhouse and one for guest. To keep your networks seperate.

I have it's little Brother USR 5450. I'm able to cover my whole house on low power, approx 50-60' going through 4 wall.

that 5453 sounds like a pretty nice AP. Never seen it, will have to check it out.
