I've been looking at the ATI Radeon X1650 Pro - AGP 8x - 512MB Dual DVI-I HDTV Out card Part# 100-437809 or is it Part# 100-437812? and this is my problem. I've been having trouble nailing down what this cards real part# is. Is there two card? Is there one card with two part#'s? The manufacturer ATI/AMD website only shows one part# ie. 100-437809 but there are numerous computer web retailers using both numbers with varying descriptions and conflicting info. What I'm trying to get is this card with: 8x AGP, 512MB DDR2 RAM and Dual DVI-I and S-Video out.
Could someone please help sort this out for me?

Why 512MB? The performance difference between the 512 and 256 versions of that card amount to a couple FPS.

I wouldn't count on the part number being absolutely correct, even on their site. Just look at the specs. If you can't find them, call 'em up and act about the specs.

kao tao makes a good point, the 512 MB version isn't worth it in my opinion, that card is powerful enough to really benefit from the extra memory.

That's all fine and dandy. Did you notice that the manufacturer doesn't even list the part# 100-437812 just the 100-437809? I appreciate the feedback regarding the fact that the 512MB would not see much benefit over the 256MB, but that doesn't address my question about the lack of clear difference between the two part #'s (if you check out a few of the online retailer you'll soon become confused.)

I guess it would be simpler to ask, is it safe to say that the part# 100-437812 has: two DVI-I out, one S-Video (HDTV) out, 512MB DDR2 RAM and is AGP 8X ?

Probably is safe, but I'm sure that I'm not sure :) . Like I said, CALL THEM.
