Need Help setting up 2 Hard drives

Need more help
Im told to use my wd raptor for my OS and use my Hitachi HD for my programs and files.

I have no idea how to do this
Maybe set raptor as master and Hitichi as slave. Format both drives, Install OS and my games on raptor and install all other programs and files on the Hitachi??? Just a major guess. Anyone know of a link to a DUM DUM Guide to Installing and Using 2 HD's?

you want to put your OS and programs on the raptor.
save your data files to the other HD.

the idea is that your OS needs to be reformatted from time to time so the split is to save the data.

there is no point in putting the programs themselves on the other drive as they will have to be reinstalled every time you reinstall the OS anyway.

You want to put the operating system and all programs on your Raptor (C: drive), anything else like data, documents, etc. put on the slave drive.

OS and programs on the raptor. This includes your games as they are programs.

you should set the Hitachi HD as the save directory for your downloads, mp3 files, dvd rips, backups of your raptor, etc etc.
