    I'll keep trying.

Do you still see the misbehavior?

Yep, the number's still sticking at two. Try commenting on one of the threads and then enabling email notifications.

Well, this is odd. One of them (the wi-fi one) has disappeared after weeks (at least) of following me around. The other is still there, though, both in the app and on the Tom's threads page.

I bumped the wifi one ;)

So maybe a comment fixes the issue? I'll go comment on the the other one.
Edit: Oh, you already did! And the problem's gone! Success!

    Hi all Tom's users !

The Chrome extension had an outage today, it is now fixed.
Sadly, the topic's category is no longer available. We are working on getting this fix, but in the meantime, the topics are all unordered.

Feel free to tell us if you encouter strange behaviour.

could there be an option added to the chrome extension for a popup feature?

for example if a thread gets a response a windows pops up with a link and then fades like windows notifications do.

of course it would have to have an on/off switch.

the icon with # new responses really isnt all that helpful as lets say i'm watching a movie on netflix or surfing the web.. i might not notice the icon but a popup would draw attention. again, with an on/off switch in case i dont want it to show.

    just an idea.

Curious, will a Firefox extension be released?

I'll try to add that when I get a chance to work on the extension ;)

It's part of the plan, but again, we need some time to be able to do it, so... when it's done :p
