Hi everyone:
I haven't the foggiest clue why this is but ever since I installed SP2,
it is like every time I run my cam (doesn't matter what software I use),
my cam always seems to find a way to bring down my system.
In other words, it crashes the system to the point where the system
reboots itself. No blue screen of death. Nothing but a monitor that
just suddenly goes *poof* as the system reboots.
I've tried it with NSV LiveCapture to a regular SHOUTcast server and
(most recently) with WebcamXP. Doesn't matter what compression or codec
I use.
My system specs. are as follows....
Windows XP Home Edition (with Service Pack 2 installed AFTER Windows
installation)
512 MB RAM
GeForce 4 64MB DDR (32 MB VRAM) 3D Graphics card
AMD Duron 1 Ghz. CPU
Latest DirectX Drivers and ALL Windows XP patches
Micro Webcam with Drivers (from the CD-ROM)
Anything else can be made available as needed
If anyone can help me pinpoint the problem (I'm thinking it's the
GeForce 4, but it could be anything) or if Micro has updated their
drivers since SP2 was released, the help and/or info. would be
appreciated.
I've just started in the concept of video blogging and would LOVE to be
able to do stuff with my cam WITHOUT having to worry about my system
crashing if ya know what I mean.
