i was wonderning what your reason for going with the P5B vs a 860i board?

also... any reason to get a seperate CD-R drive vs just getting two DvD-R drives?
In my opinion, i would rather have both drives be DvD-R so i can copy DvDs on the fly...

It depends on which p5b you have. The regular p5b apparently isn't very good for OCing. I'd check out the c2d overclock faq in the intel overclocking section. Looks like you got a pretty good deal.

The Corsair XMS2 6400 Seems to be a REALLY popular choice... I see it in a lot of places! For O/C, which is better, the CL4 or CL5? I'm guessing the CL4... but I've never really understood O/C timings...

4 is better than 5, 3 is better than 4 (you can tell its better because its more expensive)
