Pocket PC 2002 Connection using a cell phone

I am running Pocket PC 2002 and have set up a connection using the Sprint
data network. I can connect once and get to the internet but when I
disconnect the cell phone from the device, Pocket PC 2002 does not detect
the lost modem connection? When I reconnect and try to access the internet
the Dialer does not redial to reestablish the connection. Does anyone know
of a possible solution.
