Hey guys. new to this forum.
I have an HP 1170n which has an old x300se which as you can imagine has served its useful lifetime. I am going to be upgrading GPU to x1950xt and need to upgrade my PSU. stock is only 300w and something like 16a on 12v rail. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It has been awile since I built a system (7-8 years, AGP was so high end then...) so this will be my first foray back into DIY. Thanks again seems to be a great forum. Glad I found this place.

System Specs
p4 530ht
2.5 gb RAM (4 DIMMs)
200gb HD (7200rpm)
DVD
DVD-rw
56k Modem
card reader
a few USB peripherals

That is hilarious. That is the one I picked out at Newegg, I think i must have seen it in another post or review or something.
Already checked out the case and PSU both are ATX compliant so the upgrade shouldn't be problem except for the vertically mounted HDD???Who does this??? Anyway. Thanks for the reply...great forum.

Sorry just noticed that the fortran PSU doen't have a PCI-e connection. Won't this be a problem with the x1959xt?
