ok guys i got $600 bucks to blow on a lcd monitor. I want the biggest i can get with the best specs, but size being the most important of the two being that i dont game too much. Anybody got any good suggestions?
thats the monitor I'm looking at getting, I'm gunna have 2x 8800GTX's in sli to get those ridiculous resolutions, that monitor BTW is the best bang for the buck by far, it is also going to double as a high def tv in my room
You can't trust Newegg reviews. Get reviews from pros. I've looked at that monitor and can tell you there's a reason why it's so cheap.
I have been doing tons of research online since the last time I posted in this thread because I wanted to be sure before I made a decision. From what I have gathered It looks like all the 22"LCD's are using low cost 6bit TN panels which to some people are bad but to others who's main concern is gaming the TN'S are fine as they offer the lower response times.
Looks like the 8bit panels have better color accuracy than the 6bits and better viewing angles but it comes at the cost of higher response times which can mean ghosting in some games.
I ended up with this dell 22" for $296.00 and have had it hooked up for 2 days now. I have been nothing but pleased with it Great picture and gaming is perfect on it and the colors at least when gaming are just brilliant! Also the backlight bleed is very minimal on this monitor as I have heard others complaining about the back light bleed on the TN's.
