Hello all,
After reading the C2D overclocking guide, I've had some success on overclocking my E6600. However, at this point, I'm can't disable Vanderpool in my BIOS. The option is greyed out with Enable selected.

I know I've been able to change it in the past after tinkering around in
the bios, I just haven't been able to figure it out this time.

Also, how much does disabling Vanderpool effect OC stability? Thanks much,

I've got the same problem. To make matters worse, I had a nice stable OC and I just had to mess with it, and it failed miserably--system wouldn't start, no boot to bios, no post, etc... 8O

After clearing CMOS and updating BIOS to the version I was using (0804), Vanderpool is grayed out.

Help? Anyone?

You have to do a cold boot (shut power off completely then power back on) in order to disable Vanderpool on a P5B.

Hope this helps.
