Ok, I am contemplating which card to get... a rare breed of the 7900GS with high specs or a x1900 ATI card. Ive used nvidia a while and i sort of want to see what ATI has to offer.

Here are the specs of both cards:

nVidia 7900GS:

Core clock: 600mhz

memory clock: 1600mhz

RAMDAC: 400mhz

memory: 256mb

bit: 256-bit

pipelines: 20

price: $199

ATI x1900GT has:

Core clock: 512mhz

memory clock: 1314mhz

RAMDAC: 400mhz

memory: 256mb

bit: 256-bit

pipelines: 12 (36 pixel shaders)

price: $149

x1950pro for not much more (or less) than the gs. Its better than both the x1900gt and the 7900gs even the overclocked ones

19xx gt is decidedly the better perfomer, even considering the 7900s better OC potential. I second the 1950pro suggestion if your have the scratch - you're getting a nice jump in performance with the extra clocks and 512mb.
